Once Upon a PE Lesson

Happy New Year!

As the dust settles on the holiday season, I want to take a moment to wish each of you a very happy New Year! I hope your break was filled with joy, laughter, and quality time with loved ones. For me, the holidays were a much-needed opportunity to recharge and spend precious moments with my husband. Now, I’m feeling rejuvenated and ready to embark on a new year with all of you!

Stepping in to the New Year

As we step into 2025, I find myself reflecting on my goals for this year. To be honest, I don’t have any big ambitions on my checklist. Instead, I want to keep things simple and focus on the joy that comes from my creativity and the progress of my students. Watching them grow and succeed is truly what drives my passion for teaching, and I’m excited to see what they’ll achieve this year.

With every passing year, I’ve realised the importance of staying happy at work and maintaining that elusive work-life balance. It has taken me quite some time to perfect this balance, but I am committed to continuing the journey. I’m also working on being more present and making deeper connections with my colleagues. After all, these relationships are what make our teaching community so special.

Motivation Time

To wrap this up, here’s a little motivation as we dive into 2025: “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” – Eleanor Roosevelt. Let’s nurture our dreams this year, embrace simplicity, and find joy in the little things!

Wishing you all a fantastic start to the year ahead!

If you’re lucky enough to have returned back to school, you will have realised that school life is not yet back to ‘normal’. If you haven’t returned to school yet,

We all know that PE develops social skills and emotional intelligence. Above all, it is important to remember that just as students need time and guidance to discover and practice skills, concepts and strategies, we must give students the same time and guidance to process the emotions they feel so that they can have a positive impact on their performance.
